Alexis Gonnet: Ink In Water

About “Ink in Water” project says Alexis: As I usually say, a hyperrealist painter tries his best to achieve a result which looks like a real photographic picture. A pictorialist photographer’s wished objective is visually equivalent to a painting”. In other words, I intended to seamlessly blend photographic elements with painting techniques, raising intriguing questions about each medium and the way they overlap. Also involving intertextual references from my taste in cinema and Art in general. Moreover, The series of photographs “Ink In Water” is part of a concept called “Challenging Traditional Photography” by using textures, to block out the main subject of the image and blur the line between what is real or not.
